Pure Telecom in Shrewsbury has received the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Accreditation - going one step beyond its previous best of silver and making the company one of only 7% of IIP accredited organisations to achieve this award.
The accreditation is based on the overall culture of a business and how it manages its staff. Surveys are shared with all employees who answer questions on leadership, development and support of the business. This is followed by individual interviews with team members to truly discover how each business is performing.
Matt Sandford, Pure Telecom chief executive, said: “The upgrade from silver to gold is fantastic news for us - not too many companies can say they have achieved gold status.
“We’re cracking open the champagne to celebrate and presenting each member of our team with a bottle to mark this momentous occasion. We’ve sourced the champagne from local wine merchants Tanners, who are also a customer of ours.
“Investors in People is an important vehicle for companies to assess staff/employee relationships. Healthy relationships and happy staff mean a better workplace environment and increased productivity.
“We are very proud of our team and passionately believe looking after them in the right way can only be of benefit to the team, the company and our clients. We have built an award-winning culture by hiring the best people who really embrace our mission and values. This way we are all working towards the same goals.
“Our staff really buy-in to what we continually strive for, delivering top quality customer service from a team of highly-trained professionals who are dedicated to meeting the needs of clients.
“We invest in our employees, ensuring they have exceptional product knowledge which gives them the confidence they need to meet the demands of an extremely competitive industry.
“Developing this strong organisational culture has allowed us to retain employees for the long-term which can only increase the strength and capabilities of the company and provide clients with the reassurance of dedicated account management through a consistent point of contact.
“The Gold accreditation can only strengthen our reputation in both the telecommunications industry and the wider community. We are helping businesses of all sizes remain successful and, while our client-base stretches far and wide, we are particularly proud to be a part of a thriving Shropshire business hub and play a leading role in the local community.”
