Taxi firm goes executive

A Shropshire taxi firm is investing £50,000 into the launch of a new executive service for business clients.

Bosses at Go Carz have unveiled a fleet of high-end vehicles as part of the new arm of the business, called Go Exec, and employed a new member of staff to manage the service.

Will Usherwood, the new business development manager at Go Carz, said it was an exciting expansion for the firm.

He said: “We believe we have the largest fleet of executive vehicles in the midlands, which includes a brand new Mercedes E-class along with other high quality vehicles such as BMWs and Audis.

“We have more than 15 drivers specifically trained and selected for the executive service, all very well presented and driving spotless, well-maintained cars.

“Everyone is really excited and enthusiastic about the new service.”

Mr Usherwood said one of the outstanding features of the executive branch was the “premium service” which included free in-car wifi, newspapers and refreshments.

He said: “It’s an ideal arrangement for businesses who are entertaining clients who need to be collected from an airport or train station.

“We have more than 20 years of experience providing airport transfer services, so customers can be assured that our drivers will arrive in plenty of time.

“We are already seeing a big increase in demand for the executive service, and we are sure its popularity will grow as more people become aware of it.

“We have a new dedicated booking line for executive and airport transfer enquiries of 0330 053 5556 and a website at www.goexec.co.uk.”

Cindy Wilday, area director of Go Carz, said the launch of Go Exec was an important development for the business.

“We have always provided some form of executive travel but by making this investment we are really committing to an absolutely first-class service for businesses,” she said.

“The initial investment at this stage to launch Go Exec is in the region of £50,000, and we are always happy to make the necessary investments to grow the business.

“The private hire industry is a tough marketplace, but we feel we have the cutting-edge infrastructure and committed workforce to continue our growth.”
