New roles for accountancy staff

A Shropshire accountancy firm has recognised the commitment and dedication of its staff with a raft of internal promotions.

Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants, in Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury, has announced 11 employees have been promoted to new roles.

Managing director Marie Bramwell said: “We are always keen to encourage our staff to continuously develop their skills and we are constantly working to create opportunities for them to progress within the team.

“It’s a positive sign that our business is thriving and growing, and it means we can expand our services even further to an even wider range of clients thanks to the ever-increasing knowledge and experience of our staff.”

The latest round of promotions include:

Rob Lane (Audit Client Manager), Theo Grainger (Audit Accounts Semi-Senior), Charlie Home (Audit Accounts Semi-Senior), Vicki Evans (Audit Accounts Semi-Senior), Sophie Griffiths (Accounts Semi-Senior), Jay-Jay Perks (Accounts Semi-Senior), Beth Edwardes (Audit Accounts Senior), Max Hopson (Audit Senior), Emily Roberts (Audit Senior), Dan Oakes (Audit Senior), and Matt Buckingham (Client Manager).

Marie said: “The success of our training programmes is clear when it comes to the number of staff who are progressing to more and more senior roles within our company. We offer programmes for people looking to establish careers in accountancy and associated professions including high level in-house training and mentoring, and financing of external qualifications.

“We can also adapt our training to suit different levels of entry to the profession and the good news – as you can see from the latest round of promotions – is that most of the people who train with us stay with us and establish successful careers here.”

Marie said the company also supported the national Apprenticeship Scheme and had training and mentored a number of staff in its administration team.

“At Dyke Yaxley, we pride ourselves on supporting our staff – from the very early days of their career right the way through to management level – and it’s always wonderful to see staff make the most of the opportunities we provide to build strong and productive careers.”

Dyke Yaxley was also a finalist in the large employer category and sponsored the business, legal and finance award in last year’s Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards. The company supports the annual Skills Show too held every year at Telford International Centre to promote accountancy careers.
