Alderford Lake has announced its enchanting line-up of Christmas events with the lake transformed into a winter wonderland from November 21 to December 23.
The programme will feature a brand new ice bar, the magical Santa Island experience and a real undercover ice rink.
Opening on November 21, Alderford’s ice bar will be handcrafted entirely from ice, and it will be open until January 5.
Guests can sip on a signature warming Christmas cocktail or delicious hot chocolate, while surrounded by ice sculptures, twinkling lights and immersive festive décor.
Also starting on November 21, visitors can embark on the Santa Island experience - the journey begins with an enchanting boat ride across Alderford Lake, where visitors will be transported to Santa’s Island, the home of Santa Claus and his bustling team of elves.
The elves will welcome visitors a deliciously gooey s’more—to enjoy while they listen to the heartwarming story of their adventures in the North Pole.
Visitors can oin the elves in their toy workshop and lend a hand in making toys for children around the world. This hands-on experience is perfect for children who want to see the behind-the-scenes magic of Santa’s workshop. The journey concludes with a visit to Santa’s Grotto, where Santa himself will be waiting.
The undercover ice rink also runs until January 5, and it offers the perfect opportunity to glide across the ice, surrounded by twinkling lights and the beauty of the lake. The rink is covered, ensuring everyone can enjoy this classic winter activity, regardless of the weather.
Visitors are also invited to meet Hector and Henry - Alderford’s very own reindeer! They provide an unforgettable experience for families, children and all animal lovers.
