People are being offered the chance to attend an event in Shrewsbury to hear tips on how to successfully promote their business.
The event at Cromwell’s Tap House in Dogpole on January 30, starts at 5.30pm, and is being organised by Howden Insurance as part of the firm’s In The Loop campaign.
Speaking at the event will be Kirsty Smallman, founder of content marketing and digital communications firm J&PR Ltd, who will explain how businesses can tell their story through the power of PR.
Chris Beane, divisional director at Howden Insurance, said the In The Loop campaign was designed to help businesses support each other in Shrewsbury.
“We love being part of Shrewsbury town centre, being based on the High Street in the heart of the town, and wanted to launch a campaign to bring businesses together. The project started with the creation of a hamper of high quality products bought from shops in the town centre, which we give to any Shrewsbury-based business who come to us for an insurance quote.
“The whole point is to help boost the circular economy in Shrewsbury by encouraging businesses to support each other, whether by purchasing goods from a town centre shop, visiting a cafe or coming to us for their insurance.
“Another key element of the campaign is to share expertise, so our In The Loop events bring people together not only to network but to hear relevant advice from a specialist in their field. We are delighted to welcome Kirsty who will be sharing her insights into how you can promote your business through social media and other marketing techniques.
“The event is completely free to attend, and we are looking forward to seeing another good turnout after the success of our first event towards the end of last year.”
